In The Liquid-Liquid Chromatography, the stationary chromatographic phase is liquid and the mobile phase is also liquid. In this type (liquid-liquid chromatography) the mobile phase used over here is usually a solvent or a mixture of simply binary solvent and the stationary phase is also liquid. The stationary phase used here is supported on some suitable material such as on diatomaceous earth or some times on silica gel. Similarly there is one more term known as solid liquid chromatography in which stationary phase is solid and the mobile phase is liquid.
